Arlo Gross is a PhD student in Film and Moving Image Studies at Concordia, whose research focuses on the intersections of contemporary body horror cinema, queerness, pregnant embodiment, and festival circulation and access. They are interested in transnational feminist cinema networks and have worked as an archival translator (Catalan to English) for an SSHRC-funded project with the Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones de Barcelona. More generally, they gravitate towards weird, queer, gore, and fleshy media.
