February 24, 2023
Time: 1:00-3:00 pm

Feminist Media Studio CJ Building, Room 2.130 Concordia University 7141 Sherbrooke W Montreal (Qc)

We are postponing this event until the end of term.

Stay tuned for more details.

Taking place on Friday, February 24 from 1:00-3:00 pm, Building a Feminist Library will be in-person at the FMS CJ 2.130 and via Zoom.

Participants are invited to share texts to include in the library, consider what brought you to this text and how it has influenced your work. We will then review a synthesized list of values and fields identified in our previous two meetings and engage in a dot-voting process together. From there we will identify possible syllabi and working groups based around the texts added to our library thus far, while also incorporating new contributions.

Returning and first-time participants are welcome to attend!

This will continue the work on our Feminist Library project. This project comes from our desire to collectively build a Statement of Lab Values and Commitments at the Feminist Media Studio. Inspired by Max Liboiron’s CLEAR Lab Values Process, we will use resource sharing and storytelling to highlight collective values and clusters of meaning among FMS members. We are looking forward to synthesizing our previous discussions and coming up with key concepts, potential syllabi, fields and practices that inform how we do feminist work at the FMS.
