Kristen is a Newfoundlander studying Art History at Concordia University in Tiohtia:ke/Montreal. Her research draws together her interests in Conceptual Art and Performance Art, on the one hand, and Art Theory, Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics, on the other, to do research on evolutions in the ontology of Performance Art—ways in which particular works of performance art change understandings of what performance art is. Her writing is informed by her intimate acquaintance with philosophical theories of art and the significant role she attributes to art in our everyday experience of the world and ourselves.
