Lina Aattache

Lina is a graduate student in Communication Studies at Concordia University, with a strong interest in political journalism. Alongside her academic work, she is a singer and rapper from Brussels, performing under the name Linliya.

Linliya is a voice that blends softness with intensity, moving fluidly between R&B, trap, and new pop influences. Mixing French lyrics with strong anglophone influences, Linliya embodies Lina’s alter ego: while Lina is naturally gentle and reserved, Linliya is more eccentric, bold, and introspective—a persona unafraid to explore raw emotions and deeply personal stories. Through her music, she creates a universe where vulnerability and strength intertwine, drawing from both her personal experiences and her evolving sense of identity.

The Feminist Media Studio is located on the unceded lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation. We seek to stand in solidarity with Indigenous demands for land restitution and reparations.

Our work—committed to intersectional and anti-colonial feminist praxis—actively engages and names the predicament of doing feminism on stolen land. We acknowledge that territorial acknowledgement is insufficient to stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities.
Our anti-colonial and decolonial efforts articulated in our Lab Values center resisting extraction in all its facets, de-centering feminist canons, valuing methodologies that oppose white supremacy, and building good relations with human and more-than-humans.
